To create the best experience, we work fast to ship orders quickly! Once and order is placed, we are unable to cancel or edit your order. However, we gladly offer returns for store credit within 14 days of your delivery date! All orders placed before 12 PM EST, Monday- Friday, will ship the same business day. When your order ships, you will receive a tracking number to track your package. During sale periods, orders will ship within 1-3 business days. Delivery times are estimates only and do not apply to weekends and holidays. It is recommended to allow at least 2 weeks before special occasions, travel plans, and hair appointments. Heat Free Hair is not responsible for hair appointment costs, fees, cancelations, or other issues relating to shipping errors or return requests. All orders require a signature for delivery.

Worry-Free Package Protection protects the value of your package if it is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit for up to 30 days from the date the package was shipped. Reported issues are resolved within 1-3 business days by issuing a full replacement of your order at no additional cost. This service is optional and can be declined at checkout, but if an issue occurs, please work directly with the shipping carrier to resolve the concern. If you have concerns regarding the status of your package, please send an email to customercare@heatfreehair.com within 7 days of your ship date or click here to file a Worry-Free claim .

Because of the nature of our business and the desire to maintain control of the quality and integrity of our hair, we do not authorize the resale of our hair extensions.

At this time, we do not offer any discounts to select groups or businesses. However, all customers can save as they shop with our HFH Rewards Program. Be sure to create an account to earn rewards for each purchase!

We are happy to offer returns for store credit within 14 days of your delivery date! To be eligible for a return, items must be kept in their original condition; the extensions may be untied, washed, installed, chemically processed, excessively brushed/finger-combed, or tampered with in any way. We kindly ask that you delicately inspect the hair extensions upon receipt. All wigs are final sale. We do not offer cash or credit card refunds. Please submit a request for a store credit here.

While our team offices are located in Washington, D.C., we do not currently have a customer-facing salon or store front to see our products in-person. We do not offer samples, but we are excited to help you find the right texture! Curl typing is a system designed to help you understand the unique look and needs of various textures. The system describes the differences in various textures by pattern, density, and luster. We 7 offer signature textures that range from straight, wavy, curly, coily, and, kinky: Silk Press (sleek and straight), Blow Out (kinky-straight), Soft Spiral (3A-3B), For Koils (3B-3C), For Kurls (3C-4A), Tight Kurls (4A), For Kinks (4B-4C).

We recommend using the texture of the hair you plan to leave out as a marker for which Heat Free Hair collection to purchase. However, if purchasing two textures, we recommend installing the looser texture toward the back/nape of your neck.

We recommend two bundles for lengths 16″ and shorter, and three bundles for lengths 18” and longer for a full look. Heat Free Hair bundles are manufactured, weighing approximately four ounces (113.4 grams). Bundles that are longer in length tend to have a shorter weft thus requiring more for a full sew-in installation.

Each clip-in set has six curly clip-in extension pieces, each 113.4 – 130 grams, dependent upon length. To achieve volume over a full head, we recommend that you purchase two sets in the lengths you desire.

If coloring your extensions, we recommend purchasing the Natural Virgin Color only. Our natural virgin color extensions are unprocessed and remain in their natural, unaltered color which ranges from a medium to dark brown. Working with unprocessed extensions will allow for optimal results. The Jet Black Collection (1) is pre-dyed to a rich shade of black that is darker than a natural black and made to retain its color for the lifetime of the extensions. We always recommend performing a strand test and to work with a licensed professional.

Installation varies by product type. Our wefted hair does not come in bulk, and requires that each track be sewn in. Heat Free Hair wigs offer Full Cap , U-Part, and Headband options with adjustable straps, combs and elastic straps for extra security. Clip-in extensions are made with silicone tipped metal clips and offer an elastic protection band on each piece for the most secure placement. Drawstring ponytails are made made with 2 durable combs and an expandable net that is placed over your natural hair ponytail/bun. Tape-Ins are pre-taped, semi-permanent extensions installed with heat and professional tools.

At this time, we do not have a list of recommended stylists, however we encourage all of our customers to search for a local stylist familiar with natural hair and natural hair extensions.

Just like natural hair, Heat Free Hair has beautiful styling versatility. You may wear our looks as they come, or use heat styling tools to achieve your desired look. Keep in mind that our virgin hair is just as susceptible to heat damage and loss of curl pattern as your own natural hair is. Use a heat protectant when necessary and avoid excessive exposure to straightening tools. Once heat styling is applied, we can not guarantee the integrity of the kinky/curly textures.

Heat Free Hair extensions are offered in a Natural Virgin Color and a Jet Black (1) color option. We recommend the Natural Virgin Color only for custom coloring. To make Heat Free Hair extensions fit your desired look, our hair may be bleached or dyed in order to blend with your natural hair. Just like natural hair, bleaching or using color with harsh chemicals may weaken the hair shaft and potentially alter the texture. Heat Free Hair extensions that have been colored require extra love and attention throughout the life of your look. Please be sure to deep condition extensions and use nourishing hair products whenever possible. We recommend that coloring and strand tests for each product be done by a professional/licensed colorist familiar with natural textures. Heat Free Hair curl patterns are made with a steam process, so lifting the hair with high volumes of developer to extremely light colors may alter the integrity of the texture and curl pattern. Heat Free Hair is not responsible for any damage of hair quality or texture as a result of color processing.

Our extensions are manufactured with the utmost level of quality and design. The expectant life of your particular hair extension product depends solely on the care you provide your clip-in’s or wig, or the daily maintenance routine of your wefted hair installation. We recommend following our online “Care Card” instructions and recommended products for each texture to help you maintain your look for as long as possible.

You can swim in our hair extensions, however we recommend wearing a snug-fitted swim cap to protect the hair. Just like your natural hair, salt water and chlorine can strip it of moisture, causing potential drying and tangling.
