Can I color/dye my Heat Free Hair extensions?

Yes! To maximize the results of any color job start with our premium quality, Natural Virgin Color extensions. Our Natural Virgin Color are free of any chemical processing and should be in its natural unaltered virgin color. ⁣⁣⁣

  1. Test the technique- Extensions should be colored before installation, and strand tests should be performed per bundle/set. In addition, we recommend that coloring be done by a professional/licensed colorist familiar with natural textures.
  2. Low & Slow- when lightening your extensions, you can reduce the risk of damaging them and losing the curl pattern by planning to achieve your color goals over multiple coloring sessions, instead of aiming to reach your desired shade by lightening extensively all at once. Lifting the hair with high volumes of developer to achieve extremely light colors may alter the integrity of the texture and curl pattern. Just like natural hair, bleaching or using color with harsh chemicals can weaken the hair shaft and potentially alter its texture
  3. Condition regularly- extensions are an investment and you can protect them with proper care. Like your own hair, extensions that have been color treated require a little more TLC so you want to use a hydrating conditioner regularly to prevent over drying, matting, and shedding. ⁣⁣⁣

Many of our customers have colored their extensions successfully, however, Heat Free Hair is not responsible for any damage to hair quality or texture once colored. We can not guarantee individual results, and we are unable to accept any returns or exchanges on hair extensions as a result of color processing.
